The Adeptus hid behind their Void Shield knowing that they would need to be truly blessed by the Omnissiah if they were to withstand the onslaught from the four Imperial Knights who were allowed first strike.
The Imperial Knights brought down the shield, made inroads into the Adeptus' Maniples and started to collect objective points.
However, despite two turns of intense bombardment, the more mobile Skitarii scuttled from the ruins and their fallen brethren to take objective points of their own and charge the Lancer with fanatical lust their only defence. The Will of the Omnissiah is mighty and the Skitarii Haywire attacks were truly blessed as they brought down the mighty Lancer.
The Imperial knights were not finished however, and only a Shrouding from Above saved the outlying Skitarii objective scorers. This proved too much, and the remaining Knights turned and walked themselves from the field halfway through turn six.
So, the Imperial Knights do go down.
