Short and Fat
A brief encounter, in which the advantage of mobility was demonstrated.
The Walker force aimed to use cover to gain the upper hand, only to discover that they were at the mercy of the Iron Hand bike squad and Chapter Master that stoo against them.
Reliant upon assault, the Walkers hoped to lure the marines in close before pouncing. The sons of Ferrus, however, were too savvy for that - and sat at range, firing effectively into their enemy.
The Walkers sought to move forward and charge. They failed to close fast enough, leaving the initiative with the imperial troops. This was exploiter ruthlessly - fire, assault, withdraw was executed to perfection. By turn 3 the rout was completed.
Result: Iron Hands win by tabling.
