Great to get together and have a six player Carnage battle last night.
Well done Greater Eldar for a decisive victory.
I think the Psy deny rules work well enough to be part of our rules now.
Speak out in the comments below if you disagree.
I was thinking that a team should not be able to deploy in the slot next to their partner.
However; It didn't seam to effect the balance last night.
While I did enjoy the game, I didn't feel like I had any chance of 'doing well'.
As a purely selfish suggestion, to give me a better chance of scoring
I would like to suggest that we add the handicap points:
You would get the handicap points of the armies you face.
Eg.
Orks would get 250 (150 Eldar + 2x50 Tyranids)
Dark Angels 325 (125 Eldar + 2x100 Tyranids)
Eldar 250 (100 Orks + 2x75 Tyranids)
Dark Eldar 200 (2xTyranids)
Tyranids 725 (250 Eldar + 250 Dark Angels + 175 Orks + 50 Dark Eldar)
Now that sounds good to me.
But it does seam a little extreme in favor of Tyranids.
What are your comments ?
I also thought it went well and I certainly enjoyed it. I agree that something could be done with handicaps but perhaps the average figure rather than the total. The total figure would unfairly favour the Tyrannids and I didn't notice Joe's army being particularly outclassed. The board positions could be randomly rolled which could still lead to allies next to each other but at least we are at the whim of chance. I also think that we should have decided on the format (objectives, kill points etc... ) before the night so that armies could have been more tailored to the actual situation. Darren's army was disadvantaged but so would have been mine if we'd been dying to take objectives.
ReplyDeleteSo average would be total, divided by number of opponents.
DeleteEg Orc 60, Angels 80, Eldar 60, Dark Eldar 50, Tyranids 180.
That's right, seems a fairly equitable approach
