Night Fighting
The Eldar had defeated a minor wave of the Tyranid force on Tethrock Quay.
The Shadow in the Warp masked the true strength.
With so many other planets in danger they had to move on
but the Farseers warned that the signs were distorted so they left a minor force as a precaution.
This warning enabled the Eldar to Steal the Initiative.
The Hive Tyrant Warlord was a Master of Ambush and he coordinated a multi-pronged attack.
The weakened firepower of the Eldar meant that not everything could be killed
and soon they were being surrounded.
The Hive Tyrant killed the Eldar Warlord Farseer and the Crimson Hunter
before being gunned down himself by a static unit of basic Vypres.

ReplyDeleteThe Eldar retreated from Tethrock Quay, leaving it to the Infestation. But they left in good order, harvesting vital resources to upgrade their depleted war chest in the on-going struggle against the lesser races, including 22 spirit stones for Wraith conversion.
