Points: Orks 2,000+200 and Tyranids 1,000+350 vs Eldar 2,000+100 and Tyranids 1,000+175
Mission: Deep Jungle
Planet: Friendly
Deployment: Hammer and Anvil
Game ended at the end of turn three due to time.
Very close battle on points (Orks and Tyranids won by one Commendation point)
Not so close in model count (poor Orks suffered at the hands of those tricky Eldar)
1st Battle using the 'Stubborn' rules for Orks.
ReplyDeleteEg They lost a combat by five wounds but had no modifier to the leadership test.
However; they still failed the roll but the Ork Mob Rule kept them going.
So, not a great test of the new rule as it would not have made any difference.
On the flip side, it shows that the new rule is not overpowered.
Just to be clear the scores were level (11 each I think) with the orks and tyranids in front on commendations when the game ended early as a DRAW! If a football match is abandoned at half time, no one wins it! And if it really was the last turn why weren't we told this at the beginning of the turn so we could have used our movement to secure winning objectives? A great contest that didn't need a winner and don't forget that the orks took out an Eldar Phoenix Lord!
