An audacious turn 5 move from the Dark Angel Warlord brought accolade and respect from the gathering Eldar, but ultimately no reward, as Fate's fickleness failed to end the contest, leaving the Mon Keigh too short of resources to continue the fight.
It was a new-look Dark Angel army, quite Eldaresque in both its make up and tactics, with bikes, defensive psychic powers and specialist units in abundance. However, Farseer Abraxas had played this scenario over and over in the skein and had carefully selected this thread of probability, denying the Mon Keigh initiative from which they always struggled to recover. Yet recover they did, almost stealing the battle honours before being forced to quit the field as the Eldar stood, heads bowed, in a rare and spontaneous gesture of esteem. Abraxas watched on in quiet contemplation; the result had never been in doubt!
Final Result: Eldar 2 (First Blood, Line Breaker) Dark Angels 4 (Primary Objective x3, Line Breaker) Dark Angels conceded the contest when it went into turn 6 with the prospect of a potential 7 point swing upon them.
For the Harvest!
