Eliminators vs Tyranids - Battle Five

Space Marines (Sandra) vs Tyranids (Joe)
Points: 750 (Eliminators +50)
Mission: Special
Deployment: Hammer and Anvil
Day Fight

Using power from the manafactorum secured in the first three missions against the Tyranids, the Eliminators planned to create a grid weapon to fry the Tyranids. They would need to activate various power nodes scatter through the battle field to achieve this. However; the nodes would need to be activated in a specific order and the next node would not be identified until the previous one was activated. To make matters worse, the number of nodes required would not be known until the end of the battle. 

Rules: 
Place six objectives. Randomly determine the first active objective. Only the Space Marines know the location of the active objective. At the end of the Eliminators turn they may claim the active objective if they control it. Roll to determine the next active objective (hidden from the Tyranids). Each objective is worth one point. At the end of the game roll 1D6 and add to the Tyranids secondary score.
Secondary objectives: First Blood, Slay The Warlord, Line Breaker.
Commendations: Space Marines win all draws.

Both sides utilized the same forces as in mission four, with the Space Marines gaining three marine reinforcements (handicap).

The Marines found it hard to break protocol - preferring to attack the Tyranids rather than run to secure objectives. The Terminators were remarkable, slaying everything they could charge into. Special: After Tactical squad 'C' had been reduced to one Marine, the next turn he survived ten Termagants, five Warriors and a Turvigon. Note: This Marine has been promoted to Sergeant of Tactical squad 'B'.

The Turvigon had another great spawning game - producing forty one termagants! it also survived more shooting than you would have thought possible and went on the slay Uthor, the Eliminator Warlord in turn seven. The Tyranid Flyrant, although deadly, it failed to make a saving throw and died to a grounding test in turn three.

- If only the game had ended in turn five or six.

Eliminator Handicap for next battle - two marines, one with a rocket launcher.
