MISSION : Influence of Khorne

Here is a suggestion for an alternative mission for May :

MISSION : Influence of Khorne
Points : 1,950 + handicap (Double force organisation charts do not apply)
Deployment Map : Standard Random
Terrain : Standard Random
Army Deployment : Standard

*Primary Objective One
Each player receives victory points for each unit killed
One point plus one per 100 points over 100 that the unit cost.
ie: Killing a unit that costed 1 - 99 points gives 1 VP
Killing a unit that costed 100 - 199 points still only gives 1 VP
Killing a unit that costed 200 - 299 points gives 2 VP
Killing a unit that costed 300 - 399 points gives 3 VP etc.
There is a total limit of 4 VP that can be gained from Primary Objective One

*Primary Objective Two
A player receives 2 VP for each FOC Slot that is wiped out completely.
(HQ/Troop/Elite/Fast/Heavy)
There is a total limit of 4 VP that can be gained from Primary Objective Two
If your opponent doesn't field any units in a slot
then you automatically gain the 2 VP for that slot.

*Primary Objective Three
1 VP for each Challenge won or a challenge made that has been declined.
There is a total limit of 4 VP that can be gained from Primary Objective Three

*Primary Objective Four
For each unit killed, place an objective marker
These objectives are worth 1 VP per round if controlled at the beginning of your turn.
You can not control an objective created from the killing of one of your own units.
There is no limit set to the VP that can be gained from Primary Objective Four

*Secondary Objectives
Escalated Slay The Warlord 3 VP
Line Breaker 1 VP

*Special Rules
Blood for the Blood God : All successful saves must be re-rolled.
Night Fighting, Reserves.

  1. Sounds good in general but I'm not sure about the re-rolling of saving throws; mine are bad enough as it is. How would Lords of War figure? It would make destroying one very lucrative as you'd score heavily in both objectives 1 and 2.

    1. I have played this mission with Joe and the re-rolling saves is brutal.
I think the way to look at low saves is you are not really depending on them in the first place. Keep your guys in transports as much as possible as they do not have any saves to re-roll.

Lords of War are not Heavy, they are outside of the normal slots, so do not count toward Objective two. They do still give extra points for every 3 damage they take and they do cost a lot of points so there will not be much left to cover the Force Organisation Slots and they will give points for objective one (Probably four points).
