The Long Night

The Eliminators were investigating the disappearance of their brothers on the planet of Copperbottom. There were many rumours of a rebellion but this heavily industrialised world had too many workers for one group of Space Marines to investigate. The Eliminators laid a trap to make the rebels come to them, a location that would funnel the traitors where they could be crushed. But when they came, the miners and manufactorum workers were more numerous than expected and they came from every bolt hole imaginable. The Marines not only had these men to deal with but a Tyranid Broodlord and more than a dozen Genestealers who were attacking before the Eliminators had a chance to see where they had come from. Totally overrun, the Marines fought to the last but in the end, they were the ones trapped.
