Harlequin - Saedath

Saedath
The Battlefield version of a Masque’s Mythic plays.

Harlequins can achieve a perfect ending to a battle for additional victory points.

Before Deployment
The Harlequin player must choose a different unit type per 500 points of the battle.
These unit types can be from their own or from their opponent’s army.
Units can be single models Eg Solitaire.

For each unit type chosen they must specify if this unit type will survive or die.
This includes choosing an opponents unit type that will survive or a Harlequin unit type that will die.
If there is more than one unit of that type all must survive or all must die.

When the battle ends, if the Harlequins are right they score an additional 3VP for achieving the perfect ending.
Ie The Units Types chosen do survive and or die as per the plan.
If one or more conditions are not met the opponent scores an additional 3VP.

In missions where six objectives are used, instead of unit types, the Harlequin player must choose two objectives and which side will control them at the end of the game.

These are proposed ideas.

  1. Looks perfectly Harlequin to me. Chaos will hate it!!!

I would suggest 3 single units, however, not three unit types. This will need VERY careful monitoring and a very clear instruction to indicate which unit has been chosen if there are any replications.

    1. I see that it is not obvious from what I had written but I had meant for the prediction to be secret. Which is easier to judge when using Unit Types.
Are you suggesting one specific named unit (per 500 points) that the opponent knows about ?
