The infiltrating insects took up dangerous positions around the exposed Eldar and made significant inroads into the Eldar fire-power immediately.
However, the Carniflexes' close proximity enabled the D-Scythe armed Wraith Guard to unleash their full power upon their monstrous foe and all three beasts were ripped from the plane and shredded into the Warp. This move proved decisive as the invertebrates' flying warlord was left exposed and ultimately fell to a hail of Jetbike Bladestorm, despite taking out all but one walker and the wave serpent.
As the remaining swarms spread over the terrain, it was obvious that the Eldar Jetbikes' mobility would seize a fair majority of the objectives and the Hive withdrew its horde from the field.
Final Score: Eldar 6 (Line-breaker, Slay the Warlord, 4xobjectives), Tyranids 4 (First Blood, 3xobjectives)
